Do I need to be currently enrolled in a college or university?
Some of our programs may require you to be currently enrolled in a college or university within the USA or Canada, but not all. Generally, to participate on a CIS Abroad program, the following must describe you: You will be at least 18 years of age or older at the start of the program, you hold at least a 2.5 out of 4.0 GPA, and you already hold a passport or are able to obtain a passport prior to international travel.
If you are not currently enrolled in a college or university, check out our gap year friendly programs here.
If you do not meet the GPA requirement, contact an advisor to find out if you are still eligible given your current GPA, and learn about any additional steps needed as part of your application.
